1. Review current status of high pressure-temperature research using laser-heated diamond anvil cell
2. Solicit user input into regarding the next-generation of laser heating system at GSECARS
3. Discussion of main technical issues to be overcome in laser heating system design
4. Explore what community-wide initiatives should be undertaken to advance the science and technical development of the laser-heated diamond cell?
