COMPRES Publications |
For any papers submitted for publication that report research conducted at any of the Community Facilities managed by COMPRES, or under the auspices of one of the Infrastructure Development projects funded by COMPRES, we would appreciate the inclusion of the following sentence in the Acknowledgements section of the paper:
"This research was partially supported by COMPRES, the Consortium for Materials Properties Research in Earth Sciences under NSF Cooperative Agreement EAR 06-49658."
If the journal policy or space limitations do not allow the entire statement above to be included, please try to ensure that the most important words are specifically mentioned; these include COMPRES, NSF, and EAR 06-49658.
See Home Page in this website for link to COMPRES logos for your use in presentations of research conducted under the auspices of COMPRES.
Please also consult the websites for the national laboratories of the Department of Energy for acknowledgement requirements associated with the contractnumbers which support these national labs, such as the NSLS, the ALS, the APS and the SNS.
Following are acknowledgments that are requested by the national facilities on their website:
NSLS and Brookhaven National Laboratory
http://www.nsls.bnl.gov/newsroom/publications/references/acknowledgements.asp
The following acknowledgment should be used when referencing work done at the NSLS: "Use of the National Synchrotron Light Source, Brookhaven National Laboratory, was supported by the U.S. Department of Energy, Office of Science, Office of Basic Energy Sciences, under Contract No. DE-AC02-98CH10886."
GSECARS Beamlines at APS at Argonne National Laboratory

When work is conducted at GSECARS Sector 13, APS, and is published in journals, books, conference proceedings, or other printed technical media, the following acknowledgment statement should be included in the manuscript:
[Portions of this work were]/[This work was] performed at GeoSoilEnviroCARS (Sector 13), Advanced Photon Source (APS), Argonne National Laboratory. GeoSoilEnviroCARS is supported by the National Science Foundation - Earth Sciences (EAR-0217473), Department of Energy - Geosciences (DE-FG02-94ER14466) and the State of Illinois. Use of the APS was supported by the U.S. Department of Energy, Office of Science, Office of Basic Energy Sciences, under Contract No. W-31-109-ENG-38.
Please send copy of each published manuscript to GSECARS (Building 434A, Argonne National Laboratory, 9700 South Cass Ave., Argonne Il 60439) and to the APS User Office (Building 401, Room B1154, 9700 South Cass Ave., Argonne, IL 60439) as soon as possible.
