COMPRES provides user support at the Earth science beamlines and other community facilities. At present, these include all of the high-pressure beamlines at NSLS and the ALS and coordination with GSECARS.
Our tools, including all beamlines used by Earth scientists and equipment used in our labs, need to be continually developed to improve the science that they support. COMPRES has several programs to develop this infrastructure.
COMPRES membership is institutional; Educational and not-for-profit US Institutions are eligible to become members, and each institution is entitled to appoint one voting elector for the decision process. The membership defines policy and charts the future of the consortium.
