The Program Committee [Harry Green, Tom Duffy, Shun Karato, Abby Kavner, Mark Rivers, Nancy Ross] has planned a fine schedule with scientific focus sessions on the mantle, geochemical evolution, and the core; these will include 30-min oral keynote talks by both non-mineral physicists and mineral physicists and ample time for discussion. There will also be oral and poster presentations from the Community Facilities and Infrastructure Development projects that COMPRES supports, poster sessions on the most exciting science being done using these facilities, etc., and special evening lecture following the banquet on Saturday night.
