The dates for the Second COMPRES Annual Meeting have been set for June 18-20, 2003 (Wednesday-Friday). Please block these days on your calendar and plan to attend. We will start off the meeting with a reception on the evening of Tuesday, June 17.
The meeting will be held at the Coast Santa Cruz Hotel, 175 West Cliff Drive, Santa Cruz, CA. (831) 426-4330. Please make your reservations as early as you can. A block of rooms is being held for us until May 23. Identify yourself as being part of the COMPRES meeting, or with the UC Santa Cruz Earth Science Department conference.
All members of COMPRES should plan to attend. Those who are participating in COMPRES projects, or who have performed experiments at COMPRES facilities should plan to submit an abstract and present a poster or an oral presentation on their work. Submitted abstracts are here.
The cost of hotel rooms for 3 nights and some meals will be covered for all participants. We strongly encourage students to attend this meeting as well, and have some support for student attendance. Please contact Jay Bass to apply for student assistance.
