By Car

From New York City, take the Long Island Expressway (LIE, I-495) eastbound from the Queens Midtown Tunnel in Manhattan or the Throgs Neck Bridge or Whitestone Bridge in Queens to exit 64, and follow Route 112 north (approximately 9 miles) all the way to the end at Port Jefferson (flashing light) Inn to your right. Turn right and park in lot behind the Inn.

By Train

Take the Long Island Railroad's Port Jefferson line from Pennsylvania Station in Manhattan to Port Jefferson. The train station is in Port Jefferson Station. Bus and taxi service to the Inn are Some trains require changing at Jamaica Station and some at Huntington Station. LIRR Schedule for Port Jefferson.

By Ferry

The Bridgeport-Port Jefferson Steamboat Co. runs hourly car ferries across Long Island Sound from Bridgeport, Connecticut to Port Jefferson, Long Island. It is easily accessible from New England off I-95 at Bridgeport.Danford's Inn is adjacent to the ferry dock in Port Jefferson. 

By Plane

Long Island's Islip-MacArthur Airport is 16 miles from the campus and is serviced by direct flights by major airlines and commuter lines. New York City Area Airports (JFK, LaGuardia and Newark) are 50 miles to the west.

Driving directions to Danford's from Islip-MacArthur Airport: exit the airport via Johnson Avenue. Turn right onto Veterans Memorial Highway (Route 454 West). Turn right onto Lakeland Avenue (Route 93) and right again onto Smithtown Avenue. After crossing the bridge, Smithtown Avenue becomes Ronkonkoma Avenue. Turn right onto Expressway Drive South and take the Long Island Expressway (I-495) east to Exit 64 (Route 112) and follow Route 112 north (approximately 9 miles) all the way to the end at Port Jefferson (flashing light) Inn to your right. Turn right and park in lot behind the Inn.
