Education and Outreach

The COMPRES Central Office conducts education and outreach in collaboration with the Earth Science Educational Resource Center (ESERC), which is administered by the Mineral Physics Institute (MPI) at Stony Brook University.

The COMPRES Image Library serves images for use in education and research.

The COMPRES Educational Coordinator is currently involved in a collaborative project to develop mapping tools and curriculum materials for EarthScope based on the Jules Map Server.

The illustrations here are from a program entitled "Let's Make Diamonds!" in which students conduct an experiment to convert graphite to diamond.
